| Now in its eighth decade, The Antioch
Company continues to grow and prosper. Following the credo of their founder, they
continue the tradition of "giving back" to the community and employees. Ernest
Morgan's dreams of 70 years ago are now a reality: a community of work, dedicated
to making quality products, marketed honestly and fairly to meet the consumer's
needs; an enthusiastic workforce, where diverse ideas are respected and profits
are shared; and a good corporate citizen, working within the community for the
betterment of everyone. A look at Antioch's annual report
would reveal that the product line includes bookplates, bookmarks, journals, diaries,
photo albums and scrapbooks. Yet, according to founder Ernest Morgan, Antioch's
most valuable product is human lives - the lives of its employees, Consultants,
representatives, customers, and the people living in the communities in which
Antioch operates. It has been a remarkable journey from
campus print shop to The Antioch Company of today. Entering the twenty-first century,
Antioch is confident it will continue to grow and prosper while holding true to
the values that have served it so well since its beginning. | |

"We deliberately set about to make the company a working community, not
just for the money, but for the social experience, a place where people like to
be and can take part. That was the basic part of our philosophy ... to work just
to make a living is slavery. Unless you work because you enjoy it, enjoy the fellowship
and activity, you have sold yourself to slavery. I'm pleased that Lee has carried
forward so much of that original philosophy. It's working, and I'm delighted." -Ernest
